The newest model years of both the Audi A6 and the Audi Q8 have been named “Top Safety Picks” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This is in addition to the 2019 Audi A3 and the 2019 Audi A4 having earned top safety picks when they were equipped with the available LED lighting packages.
The 2019 Audi A6 earned the highest rating available from the IIHS with the Top Safety Pick+! This honor requires a vehicle to have a “good” rating in passenger-side small overlap frontal and a “good” rating in headlights. It succeeds when equipped with the available LED matrix design headlights that feature high beam assist! The 2019 Audi Q8 also wowed the IIHS when it too is equipped with the optional HD matrix design LED lighting package! Both of these models are also equipped with a full suite of other great safety features, which includes the Audi pre sense®, a feature that helps both to initiate braking in slower speeds for pedestrians or higher speeds for a vehicle.
